Jerusalem of Gold

For ANAV

This is my extremely poor translation of a beautiful song.

I also screwed up some of the video effects but this will have to do because I'm technologically challenged and can't figure out how to fix it.

Jerusalem of Gold

Crisp mountain air and the scent of pine
Carried by an evening wind accompanied by the sound of bells
Slumbering trees and stones captured in a dream
The lonely city with a wall at it's heart

(chorus)
Jerusalem of gold, and of copper,  and of light
I'm a violin to all your prose
(repeat)

We've returned to the water holes, the market, and the center
A shofar is blowing from the temple top in the old city
Thousands of suns mirrored in the stones
We retrod the path through Jericho to the dead sea

Jerusalem of gold, and of copper,  and of light
I'm a violin to all your prose
(repeat)

In my attempts to sing your praises
I am left tongue tied and speechless
Your name burns my lips like the kiss of an angel
Could I ever forget you Jerusalem of pure gold

Jerusalem of gold, and of copper,  and of light
I'm a violin to all your prose

  2. BTW, if you compare the scenery in this video with New Mexico you will start to understand why I feel so much at home here.

How is it during summer and fall?

  4. It's greener in the winter because it's raining. Most of the trees are evergreens so there really isn't a "fall" like you have in the US.

There is no rain in Israel from Mid May to at least Septmeber, sometimes November.
